The Mentoring for Health consortium was represented at the 7th ASPIC International Congress, held on 25–26 June 2026 at IPO Porto, Portugal, one of the leading scientific meetings dedicated to advances in cancer research and precision oncology.

During the congress, Álvaro Martins, from the consortium partner i3S – Institute for Research and Innovation in Health, presented the scientific poster Unveiling the Molecular Cargo of Cancer-Derived Extracellular Vesicles. The work contributes to the project’s research into the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer and highlights the potential of advanced biomarkers to support more personalised approaches to patient care.

The event brought together researchers, clinicians and innovators from around the world to discuss the latest developments in cancer biology, precision medicine, immunotherapy, liquid biopsy and translational oncology. It also provided an excellent opportunity to establish new collaborations, exchange knowledge and strengthen connections within the international cancer research community.

The consortium congratulates Álvaro Martins on representing the project and sharing its latest scientific advances with the wider oncology community, reinforcing its commitment to collaborative research and innovation in precision nutrition and personalised healthcare.
