Today, on World Cancer Day, we join the global community in raising awareness about cancer, a disease that affects millions of people and families worldwide.
For many patients with lung cancer, malnutrition remains a serious and often overlooked challenge, negatively affecting recovery, tolerance to treatment and quality of life. Despite its impact, nutritional support is still rarely personalised throughout the cancer care pathway.
Through the Mentoring for Health project, we are working to address this gap. Our vision is to transform oncology care by integrating nutrition as a core element of therapy, supported by truly personalised, data-driven approaches.
By combining precision nutrition, multi-omics technologies and digital health tools, the project aims to anticipate individual metabolic needs and deliver tailored nutritional support that contributes to improved patient outcomes and quality of life.
Bringing together leading experts in nutrition, oncology and data science from across Europe, Mentoring for Health seeks to bring evidence-based, patient-centred innovation closer to clinical practice.
