On 19-20 February 2026, an International Precision Nutrition Meeting will take place in Madrid at the headquarters of IMDEA Nutrition, that is the leading partner of one of the participating projects, Mentoring for Health.
The event will bring together eight European research consortia working at the forefront of personalised nutrition to strengthen collaboration and accelerate innovation in this rapidly evolving field. These projects are part of the EIC Pathfinder – Precision Nutrition Portfolio, a European initiative supporting high-impact research in this area.
The Portfolio promotes ambitious research exploring how diet interacts with the gut microbiome, glycans and human biology. By integrating multi-omics technologies, artificial intelligence and digital innovation, it aims to develop personalised nutritional strategies capable of preventing disease and improving health outcomes.
From scientific excellence to real-world impact
The Madrid meeting will focus not only on scientific progress, but also on collaboration, innovation pathways and tangible societal impact. Key topics will include:
- Scientific and technological advances in Precision Nutrition.
- Translation of research into applications in nutrition, health and well-being.
- Public–private collaboration opportunities.
- Knowledge transfer, entrepreneurship and market potential.
With a strong focus on innovation and exploitation pathways, the Portfolio seeks to transform frontier research into practical solutions with societal and economic value.
Matchmaking sessions for companies and clusters
To foster collaboration beyond academia, dedicated matchmaking sessions will take place on 20 February, where companies, clusters and innovation stakeholders are invited to participate.
These sessions offer a unique opportunity to connect directly with leading European research projects, explore potential partnerships and identify pathways to translate emerging research into market-ready solutions.
